Coordinators of ESOL Volunteers Scotland

What is it?

CEVS is a national network of people who have involvement in volunteer-taught ESOL programmes - be it coordinators, ESOL tutors to volunteers themselves, working in small community groups to large volunteer-involving organisations. We gather to discuss best practices in volunteer management and meetings include practical exercises, training, networking and troubleshooting. It's free to join.

Good Practice in Working with Volunteers in ESOL: A Framework

Volunteers make an incredibly special contribution to ESOL provision in Scotland, bringing a range of skills and huge enthusiasm. With this in mind, it's crucial that volunteer-involving organisations ensure volunteers have the opportunity to develop and to have the most positive experiences possible.

This framework is aimed at volunteer-involving organisations and their employees, and gives guidance and useful tools for reflection. It aims to ensure a positive volunteering experience that will benefit organisations, learners and volunteers themselves.
