Allen has a degree in Accountancy and has worked with a variety of nonprofit organisations. During this time, he implemented finance systems and conducted the organisations’ user training.

More recently, he gained his TEFL qualification and spent 6 years teaching English in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam.
